Twenty-odd years ago, in a dark hotel lobby in Amsterdam, my mentor Eugene Burger showed me the Haunted Deck. He’d spent a lifetime on it, and it is still the best thing I have ever seen anyone do.
This is what I’ve worked out about it in the two decades since: the Al Baker “pack that cuts itself”, the techniques Eugene mastered, and a few twists of my own. If you’ve never studied the original, start here — it’s a genuine classic.
